The story began at a
gathering of tech founders
A group of geeks from leading labs and universities met, and discovered one unexpected thing in common: they were all devoted bird owners.
As the conversation shifted from code and algorithms to the cockatiels and lovebirds at home, JOYCOVE's founders recognized a problem. Compared with cats and dogs, birds retain stronger natural instincts and face more challenges in human homes. Their care still depends too often on traditional, rough, and highly subjective methods.
"If technology can change the world,
why can't it do something for our feathered friends?"
With that in mind, JOYCOVE was born. We crossed industry boundaries and brought together experienced avian veterinarians and behavior specialists. With the same rigor used to build leading connected care tools, we use objective data and natural interactions to rethink everyday life for pet birds, so these small companions can live more happily under the same roof as the people who care for them.
